Abstract
Planktonic Foraminfera from the Mackenzie Delta Region Subsurface1
ABSTRACT
An assemblage of planktonic foraminifera consisting of six or seven species, collected from a core cut between 9573 and 9598 ft in the B.A.-Imperial-Shell Reindeer D-27 well, (69°06'05"N, 134°36'54"W), the first well drilled in the Mackenzie Delta area, is described. These specimens can be readily referred to species described from the Caribbean and applied to the international planktonic zones defined in these areas by Blow (1969). The microfauna from this core correlates with the Orbulinoides beckmanni and Truncorotaloides rohri zones of late Middle Eocene age.
