Well Data Display System: An Interactive Exploration Tool

George Bole

ABSTRACT

Well Data Display System give users the ability to create cross sections and maps, and displays scout ticket listings. It also provides an edit facility that allows data to be added to, changed on, and/or deleted from the computer-resident well history file.

The Elk Point Basin of Alberta is chosen to illustrate the application of the system. This exercise describes an example of the routine procedure to generate maps from which geological ideas can then be developed. Specifically, it identifies a Woodbend structure in Paleozoic time.
