Abstract
Modelization of Slope Stability of a Landfill Liner with Large Displacements
Abstract
To determine reliable dimensions of an anchorage system and a useful barrier against the migration of containments in a landfill, it is essential to determine an accurate assessment of the tensions acting on the geosynthetics on the top of the slope. Experimental and theoretical studies have been conducted in parallel. The former deals with a full-scale experiment undertaken in Montreuil/Barse on a waste storage site with instrumented slope. The latter concerns the development of a computation code specific to this type of structure. The comparison of the theoretical results to the experimental data shows satisfactory results and a reliable distribution of the tensile forces in the different components of the liner system.
