Abstract
Modelization of
Slope
Stability
of a Landfill Liner with Large Displacements
Abstract
To determine reliable dimensions of an anchorage system and a useful barrier against the migration of containments in a landfill, it is essential to determine an accurate assessment of the tensions acting on the geosynthetics on the top of the
slope
. Experimental and theoretical studies have been conducted in parallel. The former deals with a full-scale experiment undertaken in Montreuil/Barse on a waste storage site with instrumented
slope
. The latter concerns the development of a computation code specific to this type of structure. The comparison of the theoretical results to the experimental data shows satisfactory results and a reliable distribution of the tensile forces in the different components of the liner system.
