Abstract: An Analysis of Electrical Logging Devices; Their Advantages and Limitations

D. L. McCray (1)

ABSTRACT

Each curve of the commonly used Gulf Coast (Previous HitopenNext Hit hole) logging devices is fundamentally described and an analysis is made of the response of each curve under various conditions of bad thickness and resistivity. The relative merits and shortcomings of each device are pointed out, without any attempt to prove the superiority of either device.

Actual field examples are shown.
