Abstract: The Arnold-David Field, Nueces County, Texas

R. W. Wilson (1), Joe E. Hedge (2)

ABSTRACT

The Arnold-David Field in Nueces County, Texas was discovered in August, 1960 and was drilled on a combination of subsurface work and a reflection seismic survey.

The producing sands are Frio in age and range from a depth of 5600^prime to 8200^prime. There are seven producing sands in the field to date with the bulk of the reserves being in the Chapman sand at approximately 6050^prime.

The structure is relatively simple being the south and east flanks of the Luby Field anticline, the axis of which is oriented north-south and plunges both to the north and south.

To date 58 wells have been drilled with one a dry hole. As a result of multiple completion practices, there are 68 completions, two of which are for gas-condensate.
