ABSTRACT
A taxonomic, stratigraphic and statistical study was conducted of the ostracode fauna from the Prairie Bluff Chalk, Upper Cretaceous (Maestrichtian) and the Pine Barren Member of the Clayton Formation, Paleocene (Danian) of Lowndes County, Alabama.
Eighty-two species and subspecies of Ostracoda representing thirty-four genera are identified and illustrated. Thirty of these are recognized and described as new species or subspecies.
