Poleng Field Temporary Production Facilities

Abstract

This paper briefly describes the history, design, installation and operation of the Poleng Field Temporary Production Facilities.

The Poleng Field is located 15 miles offshore in the East Java Sea, 420 miles east of Jakarta, Indonesia. The field was put on production on November 24, 1975, thru Temporary Production Facilities which consists of two-four pile well platforms, one-three pile flare structure, temporary production barge, SBS (Single Buoy Storage), storage vessel and interconnecting pipelines.

Installation procedures and operations of facilities are briefly discussed. After 30 months of operations, the Poleng Field Temporary Production Facilities have been found to be satisfactory but minor problems that can be avoided in the future are pointed out.
