Edi Pranoto, Ineke Sundari, Krishna Ismaputra

Abstract

As a result of the current merger and acquisition, ConocoPhillips Indonesia (COPI) has accumulated more than 50 years of operating experience in various parts of the country. From the jungles of North Sumatra to the remote mountains of Papua, from Natuna to East Java, ConocoPhillips Indonesia continues to explore for and produce substantial amounts of oil and gas.

To meet its long term commitment to its buyers, safeguard its investment and achieve its business growth objectives, ConocoPhillips Indonesia supports a sustainable development approach of economic growth, environmental protection and social progress in dealing with its stakeholders.

Concerning Social Progress, ConocoPhillips Indonesia has been increasingly successful in building its community relations throughout its operational areas by conducting appropriate community development programs. Community projects are locally driven, initiated by the local government and community. ConocoPhillips Indonesia facilitates these projects with the long-term goal of sustainability through economic empowerment for the community.

By defining its roles and responsibilities to the community, ConocoPhillips Indonesia will be able to sustain its long-term business growth in Indonesia.
