Abstract

It is believed that the sediments of Lake Bosumtwi in Ghana are underlain by a body of fallback breccia and a highly fractured basement uplift which could form a significant trap. The lake sediments would provide a rich source of biogenic gas and also Previous HitsealTop the reservoir. Reserves of 7 cu km (250 billion cubic feet) of gas are estimated.
