On the occasion of the bicentenary of the Société de Physique et d'Histoire Naturelle de Genève (1790-1990), I transcribed and commented on hitherto unpublished Proceedings of the weekly meetings of the Society between 1790 and 1815, a period which can be qualified as its golden age (Carozzi, 1990: the reader is referred to this publication for detailed biographic and bibliographic references to the subjects discussed below).
