THE OROGENIC HISTORY OF THE WILLISTON BASIN, SASKATCHEWAN
ABSTRACT
Isopachs show the Williston Basin as an ancient structural feature probably dating back to Cambrian times. The various environments, indicated by a study of the geologic column, developed as the result of changes in the regional tilt, uplift or subsidence of the entire Western Canada sedimentary basin which, for this purpose, may be defined as the Alberta shelf and the Williston Basin itself.
