ABSTRACT

The Rabbit Hills Petroleum Reservoir Characterization Project involves participants from a widely distributed collection of universities and industries, and seeks to collect, integrate, analyze, and disseminate information in a wide variety of forms. Modern computer networking hardware and software, and particularly the World Wide Web, make it feasible to build a data repository to collect information in a variety of forms, and share that data with project scientists working at widely distributed geographic locations. We describe the contents and organization of our repository, plus issues of general interest in the construction and maintenance of a repository of this type.
