An "Antidune" Phase of Eolian Ripple Marks

ABSTRACT

The "antidune" phase of ripple marks produced in water currents is a well-known phenomenon. It has been reported also as produced by high winds moving dry snow at low temperatures. An "antidune" phase recently observed in wind-blown sand is here described.
