Heavy Black Sands on Some Victorian Beaches

ABSTRACT
The mineral compositions and grain size variations of the heavy black sands found on certain marine beaches in the State of Victoria, Australia, are described. The nature and positions of the heavy beach sands and the probable sources of their constituents are indicated.
