Abstract
Boulder Surface Markings in Quaco Formation (Upper Triassic), St. Martin's, New Brunswick, Canada
George de Vries Klein
ABSTRACT
Surfaces of boulders and cobbles in the Upper Triassic Quaco Formation of New Brunswick are characterized by crescentic indentations and oval-shaped pits. The crescentic marks are inferred to be the result of percussion during fluvial transport, whereas the oval-shaped pits are inferred to be produced by pressure-solution at the contacts between boulders.
