Abstract
Evidence for a Sea Level Lowstand Between 4500 and 2400 Years B.P. on the Southeast Coast of the United States
Chester B. DePratter, James D. Howard
ABSTRACT
Distribution of dated archaeological sites, dredged pottery sherds, 14C dates of submerged inplace stumps, and the presence of numerous buried trees indicate a sea level lowstand of at least -3 m MSL between 3000 and 2400 years before present (B.P.) on the Georgia coast.
