Abstract
The Sweet Home (Sligo) Field, Lavaca County, Texas
Abstract
The Sweet Home (Sligo) field is a one well gas field discovered in 1980 when Enserch Exploration completed the #1 A.J. Kupka as a small gas producer from the lower Cretaceous Sligo Formation on the Sligo shelf margin. Although the #1 A.J. Kupka was a commercial failure, analysis of the well logs and an explanation of the discussions leading to the difficult decision of whether to set pipe on this well or not may help other geologists that are currently working this active exploration play in south Texas.
