Abstract
To successfully use mezzanine financing in Southeast Asian exploration and production projects you need to first identify the needs and compromise on the wants. Prioritizing relevance of structure verse pricing is needed as is an understanding the financer’s capabilities and motivation. You should agree relevant financial metrics, a term sheet and an indicative timeline early on. The best communication is frequent and open. And finally choose a bank that is willing to visit “your planet” every once in a while.
