Abstract
The Ulleung Basin, offshore South Korea has compressional structures and clastic sediment input from the mainland. The Ulleung Basin prospect has the elements for a petroleum system with 4-way dipclousures with stratigraphic upside. The reservoir is good quality sandstone. Hydrocarbon indicators are seen on seismic and the source rock has been proven in ODP 799 onshore Japan.
