Abstract
Asia has challenging ambitions and energy demand to meet. Challenges include declining production and EOR/IOR in mature plays and new frontiers include deepwater and unconventionals. Simple facts highlight the critical industry constraint of people in Asia and the rest of the world. Petro technical professionals are an aging group. Implications of this global problem are obvious and are not going to get any easier. Tackling the global problem means improving efficiency, accelerating staff development and improving risk management.
