Abstract
Seismic acquisition and processing is a challenge in Papua. This make is a challenge to support the Tangguh LNG development in Papua. IN principle, OBS has an advantage in shallow water and in model data but OBC has special ambient and source generated noise problems. In Tangguh the upside to using OBS are better wellties, improved low frequencies and the downside are very noisy shot records, PZ sum demultiple locally limited success. Streamer access and control are difficult due to shallow water and strong currents. The karstified limestones contribute to seismic losses and pose an increase drilling risk.
