Abstract:
Northeast of the Central Wichita uplift in southern Oklahoma there is a syncline with sediments ranging from Cambro-Ordovician to upper Pennsylvanian. The name Harrisburg trough is proposed for this syncline. The stratigraphy and structural history of the sediments within the Harrisburg trough have been significant in petroleum exploration in the past and give promise for the future.
