Abstract:

The North Wildcat Jim field is important because it exhibits conditions under which more shallow production should be found on the flanks of the Arbuckle Mountains.

The primary structure is a stratigraphic wedge beneath an unconformity separating beds of Permian age from more steeply dipping beds of the Hoxbar and Deese groups. Secondary structural features include a series of small northwest trending folds and several normal faults.

Oil is produced from zones in the Cisco, lower Hoxbar, and lower Deese groups. These zones are mostly lenticular, and may change from sandstone to limestone or may pass into shale in short distances.
