ABSTRACT

Reservoir parameters, as with most other spatially distributed earth Previous HitscienceNext Hit variables, are distributed in three dimensions. Although most geostatistical theories are established in nD, their applications in three dimensions, as opposed to two dimensions, call for specific implementations and Previous HitcomputerTop coding. In this chapter we present a three-dimensional (3-D) case study using real reservoir data, highlight problems typically associated with 3-D applications, and present possible solutions.
