Reservoir parameters, as with
most other spatially distributed earth science variables, are distributed
in three dimensions. Although most geostatistical theories are established
in nD, their applications in three dimensions, as opposed to two
dimensions, call for specific implementations and computer coding. In this
chapter we present a three-dimensional (3-D) case study using real reservoir
data, highlight problems typically associated with 3-D applications, and
present possible solutions.
