Abstract:
The Hardtner field, in south-central Barber County, Kansas, was discovered in 1954. Two zones are productive, the "Conglomerate Sand" (Pennsylvanian) and the Mississippian "Chat." Trapping is stratigraphic. Cumulative gas production at the end of 1963 was about 75 billion cu ft, and remaining reserves were 75 billion cu ft.
