Abstract:

Canadian Hunter has established a routine procedure to select completion intervals for every company well drilled in the Alberta Deep basin. This procedure uses a committee of representatives from various disciplines within the company to thoroughly examine all drilling data, relate previous experience in the area, and establish the economic criteria.

The company has also developed a standardized procedure for completing these wells which utilizes pressure transient data extensively to evaluate the various stages of completion operations, predict zone performance, and economically justify additional stimulation. The completion procedure is outlined and completion results from representative wells are tabulated.
