Abstract:

Western Canada Devonian strata indicate four major diastrophisms of foundering and subsequent uplift of the platform of deposition. Coral reefs provide local bathymetric interpretation of the progress of these diastrophisms. Emergent conditions were terminated by floodings indicated by initial lithology of the Leiorhynchus castanea, Buchiola retrostriata, Platyclymenia (?) and Tornoceras cf. uniangulare zones.
