Abstract:
Lithofacies and paleogeographic data from Silurian and Early Devonian rocks of Newfoundland are incomplete. As a result, the relations of these rocks to equivalent strata in the Appalachians and British Isles cannot be established. The scarcity of post-Llandoverian Silurian fossils and of Silurian graptolites is particularly anomalous.
