ABSTRACT
Resolution
of data sets acquired from a potential reservoir varies greatly from the
scale of
seismic
records to the scale of cores. If data are analyzed at the poorest
resolution
, much information--and potentially net pay--may be lost. This fact is becoming
evident. Many reservoirs considered as "thick tanks of sand," as well as
"shaly-silty zones" above and below, are evaluated beneficially by
reinvestigation with
resolution
-enhancement techniques and thin-bed modeling.
