Abstract
The geologic setting and Holocene shallow marine carbonate and mixed carbonate-siliciclastic facies of Belize are direct analogs to many Paleozoic reservoir systems in the Permian Basin. This region offers many excellent models for the development of subtle hydrocarbon traps associated with depositional facies and unconformity-related reservoirs.
