Previous HitPermeabilityNext Hit Estimation Using Previous HitPorosityNext Hit Logs and Rock Fabric Stratigraphy: An Example from the Sacroc (Pennsylvanian) Field, Scurry County, Texas

F. Jerry Lucia, Charles Kerans

Abstract

Estimating Previous HitpermeabilityNext Hit from Previous HitporosityNext Hit logs has been a major problem in Previous HitcarbonateNext Hit reservoirs. The rock-fabric method of calculating Previous HitpermeabilityNext Hit from wireline logs uses the global transform equation, which requires interparticle Previous HitporosityNext Hit and rock-fabric number. A method has been developed that uses rock-fabric stratigraphy to obtain an apparent rock-fabric number and total Previous HitporosityNext Hit rather than interparticle Previous HitporosityNext Hit. These values are used as input into the global transform to estimate Previous HitpermeabilityTop.
