Hydraulic Fracture Design Optimization in Unconventional Reservoirs
Abstract
The hydraulic fracture is critical to the success of unconventional reservoir development. This talk will present a brief overview of the design considerations impacting hydraulic fracture treatments, with particular attention paid to understanding our fractures at realistic downhole conditions. Field studies will be presented that illustrate the economic benefits that have been realized when the frac designs are optimized. This talk is based largely on several recent SPE papers.
