Abstract
The need to find hybrocarbon reservoirs at the lowest cost encourages individuals and companies to select the most prospective areas in which to conduct exploration programs. Of the many suggested approaches, the compilation and comparison of geologic, engineering, and economic data offer the greatest promise.
