Helium Resources of Wyoming
Abstract
This paper discusses the geological setting of the helium resources in Wyoming. Most of Wyoming's measured helium resources are in the Greater Green River Basin of western Wyoming. The helium resources of Wyoming in proved and probable reserves of natural gas are estimated at 149.4 billion cubic feet (Bcf). The Federal Government owns a significant portion of these resources.
