Current Factors Affecting Oil and Gas Exploration and Production in Wyoming

Andrew Finley, Tyler Vanderhoef

Abstract

The current high demand for oil and gas has resulted in a significant increase in activity in Wyoming. This increase includes the drilling of wells, development of pipelines, powerlines and roads, more people moving into the state, and positive and negative impacts to all of the people and resources of the State. This paper will outline some of the more significant issues affecting the development of oil and gas in Wyoming and explore possible solutions to mitigate the effects of these issues.
