Muddy Sandstone—Wind River Basin

Abstract
The facies of the Muddy sandstone in the Wind River Basin include offshore marine, shoreline, lagoonal, coastal plain, and estuarine deposits. These facies can be distinguished and mapped by a combination of attributes that includes rock types, thicknesses, sedimentary structures, organic traces and remains, and vertical and lateral stratigraphic relations.
