Abstract:

Activity in the 3 CSD Districts covered by this report (Arkansas, North Louisiana, and East Texas) increased strongly, making 1979 the most active year of the last decade.

Both north and south Arkansas had significant exploration increases. North Louisiana had a very large development-drilling increase and a slight exploratory-well decline. East Texas had sizeable increases in both exploration and development.
