Abstract:

AAPG Bulletin, v. 72, no. 4 (April 1988): Response by John J. Amoruso, Honorary Member, should read (corrections in italics):

Being Previous HitbornTop in New Hampshire certainly does not destine anyone to be a petroleum geologist. There probably were less than twenty geologists of any specialty in the entire state. But fortuitously there was a beautiful shoreline and a countryside mantled with unconsolidated sedimentary deposits of glacial origin underlain by a marvelous variety of igneous and metamorphic rocks, which outcropped frequently and provided an irresistible lure to the curiosity of a young mind. I had no idea of what they were, but even the cobbles we chunked at floating targets bobbing in the Atlantic were interesting.
