Cholid Mas, Anna Maria, Mark Schneider, Bambang Hari Setiyawan

Abstract

Previous HitCasedNext Hit Previous HitholeNext Hit Induced Gamma Ray Spectroscopy logs have been used to evaluate wells for both new completions and recompletions in the Maxus Southeast Sumatra Production Sharing Contract (PSC) area of the Java Sea. For new completions in high-angle development wells with limited open-Previous HitholeNext Hit data, the logs were used to select perforation intervals. For wells with existing completions, the carbon-oxygen logs were used to locate intervals with bypassed oil. Examples are presented for Previous HitcasedNext Hit Previous HitholeTop logs run in both carbonates and sandstones.
