OHIO REFLECTIONS: STRUCTURES DISPLAYED ON SEISMIC IN OHIO
Richard Kissel, Columbia Natural Resources, Charleston, West Virginia
ABSTRACT
The history of exploring for oil and gas with seismic reflection reaches clear back to the 1920's. For Ohio, the Morrow County oil boom of the 1960's was the origin of seismic exploration. Over the past ten years a lot of seismic data has been acquired in various parts of the state. With the advances in technology, seismic has become the most popular exploration tool for today's oil finder.
