Fluviatile Obstacle Marks from the Wadis of the Negev (Southern Israel)

Iaakov Karcz (2)

ABSTRACT

Current crescents and several types of obstacle shadows, the result of both scouring and deposition, appear along the pebble-lined beds of the ephemeral streams (wadis) of the Negev. These structures are formed by secondary currents which originate when the main flow is deformed by obstacles within the streampath.
