The Electro-Osmotic Guillotine, a New Device for Core Cutting

ABSTRACT
Cutting cores of unconsolidated sediments with a guillotine-like electro-osmotic core cutter minimizes distortion of sedimentary structures and makes additional core cosmetics unnecessary even if coarse sand layers, larger clasts or shells are intercalated with clayey sediments.
