Abstract
An Inexpensive Plate Holder for the Suction-On-Ceramic-Plate Method of Mounting Clay Minerals For Semi-quantitative Analysis
Richard W. Carlton
ABSTRACT
An inexpensive plate holder for the suction-on-ceramic-plate method of mounting clay minerals for semi-quantitative analysis is described. The plate holder is made from one end of a radiator hose and clamp. By drilling a number of holes in a 6 mm aluminum plate which serves as the lid to a desiccator, a number of these inexpensive, easily built holders can be used simultaneously. The holders require round plates.
