Abstract
An Improved Device for Gasometric Determination of Carbonate in Sediment: METHOD PAPER
J. C. Schink, J. H. Stockwell, R. A. Ellis
ABSTRACT
Simple modifications in carbonate bomb design allow more precise and more convenient determination of carbonate content in sediments. The modified device has been operated successfully in our laboratory for two years. Sample determination is rapid (10 to 18 preweighed samples per hour) with a daily precision of 0.3% CaCO3, for a typical one gram sample. Details for construction, calibration, and operation are described.
